Jordan Lynton Cox

As the Associate Director of Research, Dr. Lynton Cox supports the institute and the Executive Director by building research capacity, strengthening Kirwan’s support of and engagement with community partners at the local, state, and national levels, supervising and training research staff and student research assistants and strengthening collaboration with OSU faculty across all parts of the university. She joined Kirwan in 2024 after previously serving as an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Mississippi State University. Dr. Lynton Cox’s favorite part of working at Kirwan is learning more about Columbus through our partnerships with local community stakeholders and organizations. Dr. Lynton Cox received her BA in English Literature from the University of Central Florida and her MA and PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Indiana University, Bloomington.
