Three decades ago, the YWCA Women of Achievement Award was established to honor female leaders in central Ohio.
The latest honorees were introduced today and will be formally recognized at a luncheon on April 1 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
“This is always a very special celebration for us,” said Elfi Di Bella, president and CEO of the YWCA Columbus. “It’s an opportunity to recognize women who have gone above and beyond.”

A well-known author and scholar, Davies does the kind of research that people such as Valerie Lee respect. “She does a lot of visual mapping that helps us see more clearly the disparities in infant mortality and education and housing,” said Lee, vice president for Outreach and Engagement at Ohio State University.
