Join Ohio’s first-ever statewide coalition of the My Brother’s Keeper Network. MBK Ohio is a statewide coalition of communities and leaders dedicated to improving outcomes for boys and young men of color and creating opportunities for all of Ohio’s youth.
With support from AmeriCorps, the federal agency for volunteering and service, MBK Ohio is working with community partners across the state to improve the effectiveness of statewide programmatic coordination in education and workforce development for low-income youth and their families in the following MBK Ohio chapter communities: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Lima, Lincoln Heights, Mansfield, Springfield, Stark County, Summit County, Toledo, and Youngstown.
VISTA Members will:
Engage in community outreach efforts
Help design a community assessment and local action plan
Facilitate partnerships with school districts, employers, and nonprofits with the goal of improving academic and economic opportunities for youth.
Serve as key points of contact for MBK initiatives in your community
